Hazmat magazine interview
There is a new graphic out now!!!

There have been circulating rumors that Black Tooth Skateboards has closed up shop. This is not true. It is true however that the team program has been put to rest at this time. There are many factors that have contributed to this decision but the reason has never been because of any personal short comings between anyone on the team or affiliated with our crew. Black Tooth is a very small skateboard deck brand. With any business there are dollars that you put into promotion and there are dollars that you put into producing products. When you have spent more on promotion than on product and you cannot generate enough income to pay your bills you need to adjust how you spend your capital. I was giving more boards than my numbers can handle, and also traveled more than I should have. This cause me to owe a larger sum than I can handle and still support riders. In 2009 I am going to try and introduce Black Tooth in a new way. I want it to be be a brand that speaks for our corner of the skateboarding world and be something that everyone can feel a part of. This way we can all go on trips together like we always have, and any photos or video that come out of it will be a representation of friends having an awesome time on their skateboards. There are a lot of things that I am excited for in 2009 I am planning on redoing the website so things can again be purchased online. There is a new deck on the way for spring, as well as some awesome new apparel. But most of all I am looking forward to the Spring Hunker down tour. As it will always be, you are all invited. I will have the exact dates soon but it will be sometime around the end of April. Let's make our mark in the Midwest. Thank you for reading this and your loyal support. -Austin

This is not a "DEMO" tour. We want everyone with a tent, a ride, a skate, and a greasy fistful of dollars to meet us in Madison for the first annual...
5/20/2008 Bj was shredding his way around the Northwest and I think he's back in SD now. Along the way he got this sick photo. HELL YEAH! We're headed to the chili cook off so look for footage of that soon!
Man it's been a long time since I've put anything on this freak'n web page but what ever bro it's skateboarding not web-boarding. So we added a new dude if you haven't heard. His Names Bj Morrill and he's from the Midwest but now lives in beautiful San Diego. Look for his photos on the myspace page for now as photos will be on the web page soon.
I just got back from San Francisco where I got suckered into sponsoring this fine contest. Be there it's going to be a sick weekend!

Black Tooth Skateboards has changed wood manufacturers and decks are now being made with WISCONSIN WOOD! For a Midwest deck company it doesn't get any better than that! Unfortunately this means a small delay for the product to get here. I can promise you though that within the next couple of weeks everything will be available right here.
Also, we have added a new team rider. His name is grumpy and chances are you already know him. But if you don't you will, and let me be the one to tell you that on an off his board Grumpy is a ripper. Here's a clip from last weekends Bowl Jam where Grumps took 1st in the comp...
At long last Black Tooth's website is ALMOST here. I know you have all been patiently waiting for its construction and I seriously appreciate that. Check in frequently for new updates, news, added riders, and product. Products will be available online when we are 100% up and rolling! We will be sponsoring and attending a grip of events this year and everything that goes down will be advertised on this site. If you have questions, comments or concerns, email: austin@blacktoothskateboards.com.
